Think, Reflect, Don't Post Just Yet Have you ever noticed how beautiful a sunset is on a fall evening? When you take your phone from your pocket to capture the sunset, somehow, sadly,  it just isn’t the same as when you were admiring it with your own eyes. The awe factor is more real this way. Whenever we are faced with something beautiful or unique, we are so quick to pull out our phones to take photos or videos and post them to social media asap. Just think about it.  Imagine a gorgeous sunset comprised of hot pink hues, warm oranges, and deep purple pigments. It has minutes before it turns to night. After you admired the sunset for all of 5 seconds , your brain nudges you to post an Instagram story about the sunset. You take the photo, and spend a few minutes looking for a filter. Next, you spend another couple minutes trying to come up with the best caption. Hmm, which song lyric would go with this? Then guess what? The sun SETS, and you only got to view the actual sunset

Review of Brittne Babe Fitness 21 Day Challenge   Volume 9 with Results       I've made a promise to myself that 2019 would be the year I would challenge my body in new ways. I work as Registered Dietitian which tells you that I love food so much I had to get a degree it in. I am in no way, shape, or form a perfect eater or exerciser. I’ve always preferred working out at home using workout DVDs by Chalene Johnson, Billy Blanks, and the Firm. These days, gyms are much for affordable at $10 per month (so I don’t have any financial excuses), but do I really want to DRIVE to one? No! I spend enough time in my car already. Gyms leave me clueless on what to do with all that intimidating equipment and personal trainers are too expensive. I’m a mom, so the best time for me to workout is during naptime or after the little one goes to sleep.   Have you tried working out while caring for your toddler? It doesn’t work honey! I admire all you dedicated mom’s out there making

My Natural Birth Story

It all started April 1st, 2018, Easter Sunday.  I was 39 weeks pregnant.  I had what felt like menstrual cramps  starting in the afternoon during Easter brunch at my parent’s house around  2pm.  I had experienced the cramps for many weeks prior to that day , however,  they were happening more often than normal. Around  7pm  my husband Ryan and I went to my mother-in-law’s house to visit. We chatted on the couch with her and her friend  when the cramps stopped and then came a pain that felt a lot different. My first inkling was that they were contractions and I knew it couldn’t be anything else. I felt as though I could plot them on a graph as the pain slowly got increasingly more intense and then the pain would slowly decrease after a peak.  I timed them quietly while everyone chatted but they were inconsistent. I went to the restroom several times to pee. The last time I went to pee, I returned to my husband glaring wide eyed at me as he said, " Are you having contractions?&

Breastfeeding Must Haves

After 8 weeks of breastfeeding, I've compiled a list of 6 things that have really helped me with first time breastfeeding. I hope you find the list useful whether you are pregnant with your first baby or nursing your fifth. Haakaa Manual Breast Pump Not only can you hand express your breastmilk into this portable silicone pump, but you can also use it to catch your let down on the breast that you're not nursing the baby on. It's inexpensive!  You can also purchase a lid for it which you should do because I've spilled my breastmilk before and just wanted to die.  Purchase here. Boob-ease Soothing Therapy Pillows These are natural, gel-free bean bag like pillows that are filled with flaxseeds. My favorite thing about them is that they  can be cooled in the freezer or heated in the microwave. They feel GREAT. They easily fit into nursing bra cups and provide relief for sore nipples, engorgement, plugged ducts, and mastitis. Great investmen
